Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

Who am I? Well, let's see ... what can I tell you. I almost made it into this world prior to the first footprint on the moon. I was 3 years old when John F. Kennedy was shot. I can remember the stir of the aftermath of the Korean War and most of the Vietnam War, and now the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and of course, 911. Sad times.

I remember when my grandparents had no indoor plumbing so they had to step outside the kitchen door and pump water from the well for cooking, drinking, and bathing, and they had an actual outhouse with a moon cut-out on the door! I think they had a Sears and Roebuck catalog in there too!

I grew up in the south, in the 60s and 70s in small-town America. I went fishing with my grandparents, played outside catching lightning bugs, running barefoot through the water sprinkler on hot summer days. Back in those days you could get a soft-serve for a dime, and we often had to be forced to come inside for supper, because we were just having too much fun. Lastly, I remember when Keith Goodman, the son of our school principal and bus driver (I did say it was "small-town" America) was the love of my life, even if he didn't know it.

Simpler times. Yes. I'm so glad that I have those memories and many more that have been a part of my life thus far. I am Vintage, gentlemen. I'm who David Lee Murphy was singing about when he sang "Dust on the Bottle". You know the song. Right? "There might be a little dust on the bottle, but don't let it fool you about what's inside. There might be a little dust on the bottle, it's one of those things that gets sweeter with time."

That's about it for now. If you've read all this, you have a sense of me, and what I'm about. I have had a great life thus far and I plan on continuing that trend. I'm just looking for someone to share it with.

Some inexpensive activity that we can be comfortable getting to know one another like Putt-Putt Golf, or Bowling. I know it sounds wierd, but they are both a lot of fun and you can't be self-conscious when you are rolling down the lane with a 10 lb. bowling ball connected to your hand! By then it's way too late. Laugh and have fun, make a friend, and let the rest be in God's hands.
