Well, my hobbies include photography, photo editing, fencing (yup, with rapiers =P), gaming, reading, discovering new music, playing electric guitar, and most of all just hanging out with my friends joking around and having fun. =]

Music is a major part of my life. The moments in which I sit in silence are rare (though they do happen). I play several instruments (oboe, piano, electric guitar, bass guitar...kazoo..didgeridoo [okay those last two were a lie]). Rock and metal are my favorites; country and rap make my eardrums bleed with displeasure. I also have started to look into the electronica genre. It's awesome. =] Checking out new bands and attending concerts are high on my list of things I love doing.

I'm an English Education major, and hope to teach high school English and speech as well as be involved with drama and competitive speech in North Dakota. I am undecided as to whether I want to teach in a small school or a big school, as I grew up in and attended a small school in rural ND (graduated with a class of 24, and we were the big class!) and have observed classes in a huge high school.

Considering what my major is, I suppose it is an expected trait of me to love reading. This is true. I love reading all the classics, and the new stuff out there as well. I'm also weird in the fact that when classes at NDSU where I go to college are not going on, I really miss it. A lot. I adore learning new things every day, but.. well, of course I loathe the stress of exams and massive, difficult, and seemingly pointless assignments. Anyway, yeah. I also value intelligence in people. Show me you're smart, please. "i dnt liek tlking 2 ppl who tipe liek this." Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration, but please at least make an effort to manifest an actual sentence...

I guess I kind of think of myself as being different from your average girl, and I take pride in that. I value intelligence (as stated earlier), live life spontaneously, and love to have fun and not take life or people too seriously. Don't mistake that for me saying that I'm incapable of being serious when the situation calls for it. My sense of humor is very diverse, and I also find things that most find offensive to be hilarious. Doesn't mean I always agree with what's being joked about, but hey. If it's funny, it's funny. =P I'm not really a girly girl, but I'm not "one of the guys." I care much less about trivial drama like most girls do, that's for sure.

My friends mean the world to me. Just thought I'd put that out there. They're just as weird and fun as me, and I love it.

I definitely am a gamer nerd. I've been gaming since I was 2 years old on my brother's SNES, and can hold my own against male friends. Granted I don't win as much, but that's because I suck at the art of button mashing. =P I love horror and zombie games the most (Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, etc.), but my favorite game of all time is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Oh, and I fence. How many people do you know who can use a sword? I'm willing to bet not many, hehe! ;P

I'm a very low maintenance girl. I don't expect people to spend wads of money on me because they think spending lots of money equates to having fun. You can have lots of fun for free! =p For a first date, I guess just meeting up for coffee somewhere or wherever we choose to go to talk and get to know each other would be nice. I don't expect dinner on the first date, and going to a movie would be pointless as those are for people afraid to talk.

Since it's summer at the moment, anything involving being outdoors such as spending time in a park or walking around town is fun.

I'm pretty open when it comes to ideas on fun stuff to do, and don't exactly stick to the plans. One thing I've found is that even if I make plans with my friends, the activities that ensue afterwards always change.

I basically want to live a successful, happy life surrounded by friends and family. I always want to be busy and trying new things. Being bored is not an option. I don't need to be rich, and I definitely don't want to be famous. As long as living isn't a struggle and I'm not alone, I'm happy. =] I want kids someday, but definitely not at this point in my life. I am undecided on where I want to end up living, which will pretty much determine whether or not I will be teaching in a large or small school.

In a nutshell, I want to have fun and have someone at my side having fun with me. =]

Spontaneity and adventure. I can have fun staying in, and I can have fun going out. In a nutshell, I'm up for pretty much anything. =p Whether it be going outdoors and going for a walk, going to a movie (or staying in and watching one), staying in playing video games, attacking each other with Nerf guns, rocking out at a concert, going out for coffee, or anything else I didn't think of to list here, I'm more than excited to try new things.

I don't like to plan things, because I always have more fun when things are more spontaneous with myself and friends or a person I'm dating. =]

Somebody who: Has good taste in music, and is a bit of a nerd (or can tolerate my nerdy tendencies). He must be intelligent; having a brain is very sexy and is also important to me. I want a guy who is lighthearted and happy! It's so difficult to be around someone who is constantly negative about anything and everything in life. I love a guy who's funny, but knows that there comes a time to be serious. =p I that awkward mix where I like a guy to be romantic and sensitive, but there comes a point where the sweetness just makes me uncomfortable.
