Quiet and Reserved, Yet fun and exciting

I am a southern girl living in a big city! I relocated to MD in the end of 2009 due to my job. There are many differences between this DC area and South Carolina, but I am enjoying things so far.I enjoy getting out and experiencing new things especially since there is sooo much I haven't done yet, but I also enjoy quiet evenings at home.
All of my family is back home in South Carolina so I try to visit a couple times a year...mostly holidays. Family is very important to me and even though I don't spend a ton of time with my family, I do enjoy the time we spend together.

I would like to meet someone that really enjoys getting to know others and taking the time to do so. Someone who prefers quiet evenings.Someone who has a positive outlook on life and are able to remain a relative happy person even in difficult times. We all have our bad days...but we can't let one little thing ruin our entire day or week or life can we? Someone who has goals in life and are on a path to try and meet them.

I enjoy cooking and cook several times a week. I love trying new foods or variations of my favorites. I watch Food Network for inspiration. I would like to meet someone who like to cook as well or maybe have a couple of specialties of their own.
