Me describiría a mi mismo como
I am an outgoing, energetic single mother who has found balance and joy in life through developing a varied range of interests and activities and maintaining a great sense of humor. Some of the activities I enjoy are camping with family, exploring not only the Northern California area through day trips but also taking extended trips to other parts of the US and even the occasional trip to other parts of the world, dancing and karaoke, enjoying sporting events like basketball and baseball, expanding my culinary creativity, and of course evenings at home with family and friends filled with laughter and good food with a movie or the occasional sports game on tv (especially football!) to bring out our competitive yet comedic camaraderie.
I also am an avid reader and can devour a book in less than a day. I enjoy not only a good mystery, but also historical, philosophical and other inspiring books. I also like to do crossword puzzles and taking the occasional class through our community learning exchange or via other mini class offerings. I love learning new things and envision myself stretching my intellectual muscles for the rest of my life.
I have also recently rediscovered the fun of fitness and enjoy going to our family gym with my daughters several times a week. Often times leaving the gym feeling recharged and using the drive home to talk about our day and upcoming planned trips and activities.
When I am not relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea or entertaining friends and family, I also enjoy meeting new people and welcome sharing common interests and activities with someone who also enjoys sharing thoughts on varied topics, learning and growing together, and is also able to laugh at themselves and the more nutty aspects of life.

For me the ideal first date would be one that lends itself to just relaxing and really getting acquainted with one another. This could be discussing our interests and thoughts over a hot cup of coffee in the quiet corner of a coffee shop. It could also be a picnic in the park to share great food and even better conversation. All in all, the most important thing would be a chance to get to know each other and do so in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
