My name is Melanie, I am an Idaho native. I am a pretty laid back person. I enjoy getting out with friends, when I get the chance. I like coffee shops, playing pool, & when I have the money I like going to the local YMCA for a bit of swimming. I love listening to music, TV I could do without but never music, and it doesn't matter what kind.

&.. I have a beautiful little girl. She is 21 months old. With pretty blue eyes and pretty blond curls. She is my pride and joy.

And I'm one of those people who usually has a hard time starting a conversation, Well I would say I don't usually stand out in a crowd, when I first meet someone, I would think most people would actually think I am kind of shy. Its true I don't always know what to say to someone when I first meet them, and since I believe it is true that a person's opinion of someone is developed within 15 seconds of meeting them I usually try to get a feel for someone so that when I open my mouth to say something, I will actually have something intelligent to say to them.

But then on the flip side to that, I know there are certain types of people I probably wouldn't hit it off well with, and those are the people who come up with one word answers to the questions that I am able to think of when I first meet them. When this happens there are usually those much hated awkward silences. So its not that I have anything against people who are quiet or shy, its just that since I am usually quiet/shy when I first meet someone, chances are that we wont have much to say to one another, and will probably get uncomfortable and/or bored. So I usually like getting to know people who don't have the same problem with meeting new people, because extroverted people who are more comfortable or at least act like they are more comfortable meeting new people, are usually just what the doctor ordered to get me out of my shell.
